Psychotherapy and psychological assessments
Psychological assessments are assessments done by a psychologist to better understand a person and their behaviour. These assessments are a process of problem-solving where the psychologist determines the core components of a person’s psychological or mental health problems, personality, coping strategies and IQ. These assessments will aid psychotherapy in helping the individual identify their weaknesses and strengths. Psychotherapy focuses on activating depressed and anxious patients to restore their functioning and coping strategies. It is a process that evolves over time.
